We, and by we I mean the cats, received a Twin Critters Kittikubbi Cat Cave to try out. The Kittikubbi is different from the cat beds you see in your pet store. It’s made from wool using a method called wet felting by artisans from Nepal. I don’t think I have anything else in the house made by an artisan. (The cats probably do. They are much more sophisticated than me.). No chemicals and no glues are used to make it, just soap, water, and pressure that causes the wool to felt.

The cats were really excited to check it out, taking turns going into it and laying on top of it. They all liked it but Pyro is the one who really fell in love with it. He decided it was HIS bed. Once the Kittikubbi was placed in its spot in the living room, you knew where to find Pyro. He loved feeling protected inside the cave and it helped that it made a good hiding spot to unleash a sneak attack on a passing kitty friend.
While Pyro likes how comfy the Kitikubbi is, I like how it looks. I liked the gray and blue colors of the one I received especially since it went with my living room decor. I don’t really have a style of decor that my home is decorated in, but the Kittikubbi with its shape and texture would fit in any type of decorating style. Its size was big enough for the cats to get into comfortably but small enough that it took up no room.
Wool is very durable and repels a lot of dirt but it does require some care when cleaning it. You can vacuum the Kittikubbi to remove a dirt and debris. Knowing how cat hair likes to embed itself, I was wondering it would handle cat hair, but our Kittikubbi cleaned up very easily when I used the vacuum hose to clean it regularly. If a small amount of cleaning is needed, you can spot clean with cold water and a sponge then air dry. If it needs a good cleaning, it can be dry cleaned. You might be wondering why can’t you just throw it in the washer and dryer. The reason is the agitation from the washer and heat from the dryer could cause your Kittikubbi to get misshapen.

I love the Kittokubbi Cat Cave because it can be vacumned and and spotted cleaned with cold water. Cats always love things they can hide in.

My favorite feature of the Kittikubbi is that it is a super soft and comfortable resting place for your cat, no matter what the temperature may be. Wool is an insulating but breathable fabric that will keep your cat warm in the winter but cool in the summer
