I’m an old experienced dog mom and I have seen dog products and brands come and go. But there has been one brand that has been a constant through my dog years.
KONG.
You know KONG. It’s one of the most well-known and trusted name in dog products.
The KONG dog toy has been a sanity saver when raising busy puppies. It’s been a distraction for high energy Jack Russells. And it’s been an afternoon treat for my adult dogs. It’s been my go-to recommendation for new dog moms and dads. It’s a must-have for all dog parents.
KONG has added other products over the years that make it so much easier to raise a dog. From treat dispensing toys to tugs to stuffies there is something for every dog in their collection.
My current fave?
The KONG Wobbler. It gives me a good 15-20 minutes of free time from pup, Gusto. (Hint- stick a tennis bowl inside to make it a little harder to get the food out.)
And they’ve added subscription boxes.
YES! Your dog can receive their very own dog subscription box each month containing KONG toys and treats.
How awesome is that?
And how awesome that we were sent a box to try out.

What is a KONG Box?
The KONG Box is a monthly subscription box
What comes in a KONG Box?
Every box comes with 3 KONG treats, 1 KONG rubber toy and 1 KONG non-rubber toy. In your first box, you also get a KONG classic toy!
What We Received in OUR KONG Box
One can never have too many KONGs, right? We received a KONG Classic in our box as everyone does in their first box.
We also received a KONG Ring. Gusto loves it and will just pick it up and drop it in different rooms so he can chase it as it bounces off the floor.
A recipe card for included in each box to help change up the KONG stuffing game. The dogs appreciate this since they think I need to get out of the kibble and wet dog food mode I’m in.
We got to try 3 different KONG treats-
Kong Bites- chicken flavored KONG-shaped treats that can be feed by hand or added to treat dispensing toys. All 3 dogs loved them including picky Aura.
KONG Stuff’n Sweet Potato Spread made for squeezing into those KONGs. Another new favorite.
KONG Marathon- This intrigued me. It is a hard kind of cookie type treat that pushes into and twists on top of the KONG. It took Gusto about 15-20 minutes to eat the top part, then he spent the rest of the hour trying to get the part that had been inside the KONG. I’m always looking for ways to occupy Gusto and this one is going on the list.
Our box also contained a KONG Wild Knots soft toy. After years of having terriers I’m used to having dogs who will destuff a toy shortly after they got it. This toy doesn’t have much stuffing so it probably would have been great to have for them. Gusto likes no matter how much stuffing it has.
A 2021 KONG calendar was a special item for the month of January. The best thing is every month has a new KONG stuffing recipe so I guess now I have no excuse to improve my KONG stuffing.
Overall, we are happy with the KONG Box. The dogs loved everything in it. And so did I!
Subscription boxes are great. They come right to your door. You don’t have to make the hard decision about what to buy. Your dog get to try new products each month.
