My new puppy, Gusto, received a subscription box from BoxDog to try out and he loved it! We got the premium quarterly subscription box to try out.

As for me, they had me with the box.

I mean, how can you resist a box colorfully covered in dogs and dinosaurs especially when you are a huge fan of both?

But it was when we opened it that Gusto really got excited. Toys, treats, shampoo(well, maybe Gusto wasn’t too excited about this), and backpacks for both of us. What more could a puppy(and pet parent) ask for!

The toys we loved right away. We received a Tuffy Pterodactyl and a Mighty TRex.

Tuffy dog toys we are familiar with. We’ve had some around our house for years. Made with 4 layers of fabric and 7 rows of stitching, they are made to stand up to the tough playing many dogs play as.

Mighty dog toys are made by the same company but have 2 layers of fabric and 4 rows of stitching. Since Gusto is not to rough with his toys, the TRex is the perfect amount of durability for him.

I gave Gusto a chance to pick something out of the box and guess what he picked?

The treats!

There was a sample container with 3 different types of dog cookies inside, Tiny Cranberry & Pumpkin bites, Cheese Bones, and Soft Pumpkin Bites. We also got Oreos, dog treat Oreos. All the treats are from the BoxDog Bakery. My dogs said all the treats were yummy. Trust me. They know yummy.

A little bottle of BoxDog Oatmeal Shampoo was in the box which Gusto got to try out. While he wasn’t a fan of the bath, I was a fan of the nice-smelling clean puppy he was after the bath.

But that wasn’t all that was in BoxDog. There were backpacks! One for Gusto and one for me! Perfect for carrying all the dog stuff and it’s only fair he gets to help carry some of the stuff.

BoxDog hit all my checkboxes with high-quality toys and treats. Shampoo is always welcome. And the backpacks for both of us were a great addition.
