There is a season between winter and spring that is well known to dog lovers. The season of mud. With the melting winter snow and April showers soaking the ground, paws become paintbrushes turning your floor, car and clothes into mud covered canvases. Unfortunately not too many of us admire that decorating style.
If you are organized you keep a supply of towels by the back door to catch some of the mud from paws before they get to far into the house. But some of us(me!), just aren’t that organized or don’t have the space to keep towels. So what can you use to keep your floors from becoming mud covered?
Luckily someone who’s been there came up with an answer. The PawSponge, inspired by a dog who loved tracking dirt and mud, was designed as a solution for dealing with wet or dirty paws.PawSponge Details
- Made of polyurethane foam
- Comes in 2 sizes- Regular for small to medium size dogs and Large for medium to large dogs
- Will last for over a 100 uses with normal use.
The PawSponge is easy to use, just slip over your dog’s foot and squeeze as you twist the sponge around the foot. Use it dry to dry off wet feet. Use it wet to clean up muddy feet. Simple.
I receive both sizes to try with my dogs. The regular fit my Jack Russells’ feet while the large fit my English Springer Spaniel’s. One PawSponge worked fine for drying just wet feet or cleaning up slightly muddy paws. For very muddy paws (some doggie celebrated seeing the ground after winter by digging), it seemed to work best to have 2 PawSponges or have a bowl of water or work close to a sink so you could rinse 1 out to use again. Not meant to bathe the feet, I found the PawSponge did what it was designed to do whether for wet feet or muddy ones, it dried them off and helped clean them up so mud wasn’t tracked all over my clean kitchen floor.
PawSponge Review Wrap-up
+ Inexpensive so you can get one for the house, one for each car and one or two for each dog.
+ Easy to use. Insert paw. Twist while squeezing. How easy is that?
+ Easy to wash. Rinsing in water takes care of the mud you remove.
+ Doesn’t take up much room. Small enough to keep in your glove compartment or a kitchen drawer.
+ Lasts through about 100 uses.
— Watch those nails! Keep those nails trimmed. This is a sponge and long nails could tear it up.
— Sorry giant breeds. The sizes currently available won’t fit you, but stay tuned! They are working on a larger size so look for it this fall.
We love our dogs, there’s no doubt about that, but the mud we can do without. The PawSponge helps make that a reality
You can buy your PawSponges directly through the PawSponge.

My Diva comes in from the dog park with muddy paws so this would be so much better than towels all the time plus less laundry BOL

Hmm. Looks like it would make a fine toddler foot cleaner as well.

Wow, I wish I had seen this giveaway. I might have to try these out. With six dogs, muddy paws can be a real problem. Thanks for the review!

My Coonhounds really like to get into the mud when it rains, and I spend so much time cleaning the floor when they come in. This would be great to have to clean their paws as they come inside.

This is really neat! I always wondered if this sorta thing worked! I might have to invest in this for Luma.

This sounds like something worth trying. I beats the heck out of using a plastic dishpan full of water and dunking all 4 feet and legs in at once. It’s is so messy! Been there, done that!

This looks pawsome since I like to make “ChocolateMilk”! Although I’m a big pup – not are if the large would work or if I need the giant breed size!
