Mellie just finished up week 3 of the Solid Gold Free Spirit Challenge and all is going well with her on the Solid Gold Wide-Eyed Dreamer™ With Duck. I even caught one of my other dog’s with his head in the bag taking a nibble.
What is it that had him digging into the bag?
He definitely was enjoying the taste. I’m sure it was the duck, the first ingredient, that really pulled him in. It’s not one they got often. And the other ingredients just add to the flavor- the potatoes, peas, chickpeas, turkey meal and the rest of the ingredients. Every recipe Solid Gold makes includes their GoldSource Core Nutrition.
What is included in GoldSource Core Nutrition?
- Super foods such as carrots, pumpkin and cranberries.
- Vitamins C & E
- Ocean fish meal
- Omega fatty acids
- Probiotics and prebiotic fiber
- Taurine and l-carnitine
Solid Gold searches for the best sources for their ingredients including pollock from Alaska and lamb from New Zealand. None of their ingredients come from China. And they don’t use wheat, corn, soy, artificial preservative or artificial flavors. All this attention to ingredients earned Solid Gold a spot on the Whole Dog Journal’s list of approved dog foods.
Solid Gold Wide-Eyed Dreamer™ With Duck does contain grains which my crew is fine with and I am fine feeding. But if your dog has an issue with grains they have a line of grain free/gluten free foods to try.
